BREED OF THE MONTH

NOVEMBER IS SPANIEL MONTH!

Celebrate who your spaniel really is, with artwork you'll cherish long after the zoomies slow down.

Each month I’m celebrating a different breed, and November is all about spaniels.

Imagine a beautiful portrait of your spaniel framed in your lounge, windswept curls, sandy paws and all. Something you get to see and smile at every single time you walk past for years to come.

If you’re offered one of the 15 spots available, you’ll get a $500 portrait experience. That means your session fee is covered, and you’ll have a $350 credit to spend on your artwork.

Spots are open to spaniels of any kind, crosses included. If you have other dogs, they’re welcome to join too, whatever their breed.

IF SELECTED YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • A personalised, one-hour pet photography experience at an outdoor location in Christchurch or North Canterbury

  • A guided ordering appointment to select and design your artwork

  • $350 credit to spend on artwork, whether that’s fine art prints, individual framed pieces, a montage or an album. Your session fee (usually $150) is included too.

HOW IT WORKS

STEP 2

LET’S CHAT

If you’re invited to the next step, I’ll email you to let you know and we’ll schedule a call. This is where I’ll get to know you and your dog, and we’ll talk through the session and what you’d love to get out of it. If everything sounds good, we’ll get you booked in.

STEP 3

HAVE AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR DOG!

We’ll meet at a beach, forest, or park where your pup gets to sniff, run and be completely themselves. And you’ll end up with beautiful portraits of them to remember it by.

Afterwards, we’ll meet again for your ordering appointment, where you select your favourites and we design your artwork together. Exciting!

You might be wondering…

What if my dog is nervous or reactive?

That’s not a problem at all. I live with my own reactive dog, Marvin, so I get it. We’ll pick a quiet location and I’ll give them lots of space and go at their pace so it’s a relaxed experience for them.

Is there a cost?

Your session is complimentary, which is usually $150, and you've got $350 toward your artwork. A $100 deposit secures the date in my diary, and it comes straight off your artwork order.

Can I be in the portraits too? And what about my other dogs?

Yes, to both! Your other dogs are welcome, whatever their breed. I love capturing the connection between humans and their pups so I always encourage you to step in for a few photographs (no pressure though!)

Are digital files included?

Digital files are not automatically included, but you will receive matching digital files when you spend $1000 or more on your artwork.

My dog never sits still. Will that work?

Definitely! I want them to have fun and feel relaxed, so they’re free to sniff, run and be themselves. When I need their attention, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve - squeaky toys, a duck whistle and tasty treats usually do it. And they can absolutely stay on lead too - I edit it out afterwards so it will look like they were running free the whole time.

How much do people usually spend?

There’s no minimum purchase. Most clients choose a framed piece, a portrait box or a collection of fine art prints, and invest around $1000 to $3000 on their artwork. You decide what you’d like when you see your images at your ordering appointment, so you don’t need to make any decisions now.
